LIMBOROUGH FOOD HUB

NEWS FROM LIMBOROUGH – 2022

Rebecca and Shaheda are getting busy at the Limborough Community Food Hub organising the space ready for workshops and activities! We have been having fruitful conversations and lots of tea and biscuits with our partner organisations, building relationships and making new connections in the local area.

What have we done so far at Limborough Community Food Hub?

We have worked on both inside and outside areas, which has included sprucing up the main space with lots of houseplants and it is looking greener and more welcoming! We have also cleared out the greenhouse with the help of resident gardeners in preparation for the growing season.

Shaheda has sowed seeds at home for the upcoming projects to share with the community. Women from the Soil Sisters project and residents of Limborough estate will be joining Wen’s upcoming gardening workshops to sow seeds to give people a head start for this year’s growing. The garden is under transition to become a communal garden space to allow for everyone to be able to join in the gardening activities and share produce. Wen have been on site supporting the big change so watch this space!
