Funded by Friends Provident Foundation this two year project, in partnership with the Women’s Budget Group (WBG) will ensure that the voices of women, people of colour and other marginalised groups are heard during environmental debates. The project aims to encourage women’s organisations to engage with environmental issues and the environmental sector to incorporate a gendered approach to their work. This exciting project involves grassroots workshops, policy roundtables, discussion papers and policy papers.
Wen is holding a series of grassroots Feminist Green New Deal workshops across the UK – to ensure more participation from voices often not included in decision making. The aim of these workshops is to hear women’s ideas, thoughts and concerns around the green recovery and for these to feed into the Feminist Green New Deal Manifesto.
