On 9 July 2025 Wen will join The Climate Coalition , alongside grassroots groups and organisations from across the UK for the mass lobby in Westminster. We’re looking forward to a giant conversation about the future we deserve – for people, for climate, for nature. Will you be there?
What’s a mass lobby?
A mass lobby is people power in action. Constituents from every corner of the UK travel to Westminster on the same day, meet their MPs face‑to‑face and demand urgent political action. It shows decision‑makers, in stereo, that climate and nature top the public agenda and we expect bold, fair solutions.
Why now?
- A fresh Parliament. The 2024 General Election ushered in more than 300 new MPs. One year on, many are still shaping their priorities.
- A crucial countdown to a new climate plan. The lobby takes place roughly 100 days before the government is expected to publish its new climate plan. We’ll therefore be using this opportunity to demand a bold and fair climate plan.
- No climate justice without gender justice. Women, especially racialised and marginalised women, are hit first and hardest by climate breakdown, yet rarely hold the megaphone or are involved in conversations about policy and solutions. Wen is working to change that.
Meet Wen on the day
Wen will be in The Lobby Hub, located in Queen Elizabeth II Centre, in Westminster. Look for the red Wen banner next to our stall. Our top asks
Wen is calling for a Feminist Green New Deal – bold public investment that slashes emissions while redistributing power and resources. It means well-paid green jobs, strong public services, free childcare, social care and education, community-owned energy and decision-making where women, particularly those from racialised and marginalised communities, lead the agenda for a green, caring economy that works for people and the planet.
