The Tower Hamlets Food Growing Network is made up of community gardens and individuals who are passionate about growing food in our borough. Members of the network range from big growing projects growing produce to sell, to individuals growing tomatoes on balconies.
Great news!
Wen has just secured 2 years of funding from the City Bridge Trust for our work on the Tower Hamlets Food Growing Network.
This will enable us to support more people to grow their own food through new or existing gardens in the area. We will also have a budget for materials to help this to happen.
We will produce regular local food growing newsletters, and will hold 4 seasonal gatherings each year for everyone to share their food growing knowledge together. We aim to help those of us growing food in Tower Hamlets as much as possible.
We hope to hold our first gathering in the Spring of 2023, but we’ll keep you in touch with all that is going on as a result of this funding.
