Join us in building a toxic-free future for babies and children
About Green Baby
Green Baby is a campaign calling for a sustainable, toxic-free future for babies and young children.
We work to reduce harmful chemical exposure in everyday products, while supporting parents and carers to make safe, healthy and affordable choices. Alongside this, we advocate for stronger regulation and greater transparency to ensure these products are safe.
Green Baby brings together a growing coalition of organisations working across children’s health, environmental justice, consumer safety and chemical regulation to drive systemic change.
Green Baby Day | 18 June 2026
Green Baby Day is a national moment of action that brings this work together.
Each year, we convene policymakers, health experts, businesses and campaigners to raise awareness, share evidence and push for stronger protections for babies and young children.
Why This Matters
Babies and young children are exposed to harmful chemicals every day through the products designed to care for them. From nappies and wipes to toys, textiles and food packaging, toxic substances are still widely used, despite the known risks. These exposures can impact health from the earliest stages of life and disproportionately affect families already facing inequality. This is preventable.
What We’re Calling For
- Stronger laws to remove harmful chemicals from products
- Safe, affordable choices for all families
- Transparency from brands and manufacturers
- Action on environmental injustice
