Women’s Voices - feminist leadership programme

Women’s Voices is a paid internship programme of training aimed at increasing the diversity of voices in the environmental movement. The programme develops skills, passion and experience in health and environmental issues, while also exploring what feminism and environmental leadership means. It consists of one-to-one support, practical hands-on work experience and workshops.

The programme aims to bring a greater diversity of voices in to the environmental mainstream. It also aims to increase the involvement of under-represented groups - particularly Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) women- in environmental forums. Supporting diversity in decision-making is more important than ever. Just 4% of World Energy Council Chairs are held by women (Environment & Gender Index) and in the UK, women represent only 32% of MPs in the House of Commons.

Take a look at the blog posts below to find out what past inters thought about the programme. We hope to continue this important internship programme in the near future.
