TIFFANY LAM, GLOBAL EXPERT ON INCLUSIVE ACTIVE TRAVEL
Tiffany has worked with cities across the UK, Europe, US and Latin America to tackle inequalities in walking and cycling. She wrote the Feminist Green New Deal transport policy paper and previously led research on gender inclusive climate action for C40 Cities’ Women4Climate programme. She currently works at the Quality of Life Foundation as the Research Manager. In her spare time, she likes cycling, swimming, yoga and traveling.

OLIVIA SWEENEY, FORMER BLACK AND GREEN AMBASSADOR
Olivia Sweeney is a chemical engineer by education. She is also a lifetime environmentalist and a former Black and Green Ambassador. As part of this, she and two other ambassadors were invited to share the outcomes of their work in the Blue Zone at COP 26. She hosts a Tuesday morning breakfast radio show on Ujima Radio as well as working for a sustainable waste consultancy trying to make it easier for people to reduce their waste, recycle and build the circular economy. She was named one of the Top 100 most Influential Women in Engineering by FT in 2019 and one of Rife Magazine’s 30 under 30 in 2022. She is an advocate for equity and justice in all forms.

DEE WOODS – AWARD-WINNING COOK, COMMUNITY FOOD EDUCATOR, URBAN AGRICULTURALIST, BROADCASTER AND RESEARCHER
Deidre ‘Dee’ Woods is an award-winning cook, community food educator, urban agriculturalist, broadcaster, and researcher, with over 25 years’ experience of working in diverse communities. In 2016 she was awarded BBC Food and Farming Awards, Cook of the Year. Dee is a Visiting Research Associate at CAWR, Coventry University, a member of the GLA London Food Board, the Community Food Growers Network (CFGN) and is co-founder of Granville Community Kitchen. She is also co-editor of A People’s Food Policy and a member of Community FoodGrowers Network (CFGN).

MAEVE COHEN – CO-AUTHOR OF FEMINIST GREEN NEW DEAL ROAD MAP
Maeve is co-founder of Rethinking Economics, a student-led campaign set up to broaden undergraduate economics teaching in light of the 2008 financial crisis. Maeve co-authored a Feminist Green New Deal policy paper to integrate feminist perspectives with the green agenda. She also wrote the Revitalising Local Communities Feminist Green New Deal policy paper.

Background
You have probably heard of the Green New Deal but what about a Feminist Green New Deal? Back in September 2019 a coalition of women’s rights and climate activists in the USA including WEDO (Women’s Environment and Development Organization), launched a Feminist Agenda for a Green New Deal. The Feminist Green New Deal Principles call for advancing reproductive justice, the creation of regenerative economies centered on feminist analysis and understanding of the care economy, a shift from exploitative and unsustainable production patterns and a rejection of false solutions to the climate crisis.
Wen and The Women’s Budget Group have published a policy paper which outlines the key elements of what a Feminist Green New Deal would look like in the UK, bringing a gender analysis to the Green New Deal and transitioning to a green economy. This was presented to the Commission for a Gender Equal Economy last year.
