Wen hosts the Tower Hamlets Food Growing Network, supporting people to grow their own fresh veg at home. Growing our own gives us access to fresh vegetables, herbs and greens and many people also find it has the power to calm and relax. It’s a great activity to do on your own, or with children in your household.
We think that this is especially important right now, as many of us are spending our days at home. So, to help you get started, we’re sending out free spring starter packs with a selection of seeds and some growing pellets (which mean you don’t need soil for the first few weeks).
We have different packs depending on the size of your space (balcony, windowsill, small garden, big garden – it’s all possible). If you’re interested in starting to grow please fill in this short form and we’ll send out the seeds to you.
We have a limited number of starter packs and these are aimed at people who live in the borough of Tower Hamlets. We’ll do our best to get something to you asap and we’ll be planning how we can support you through the rest of the growing season as well.
We hope you are all keeping well, and if you’re already managing to grow at home during this time we’d love to hear your stories and see you pictures!
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
