Past successes

WEN has blazed a trail on many issues now in the mainstream.  Setting up local food growing projects, instituting Real Nappy Week, and getting local authorities to act on waste…WEN has led the way. For a small organisation, we’ve managed to punch above our weight on a number of formerly sidelined issues.

Climate Change

• Described by one  activist as her ‘bible’ WEN published the Women’s Manifesto on Climate Change in 2007, together with the WI, to express women’s priorities and concerns on the issue.
