Nappies Latest WEN ran the Real Nappies for London stand at the Baby Show, Excel, London Docklands, 29 February - 2 March. We must have had one of the busiest, if smallest, stands at the show! Thanks to all our volunteers for their invaluable help. If you are in London, you may wish to encourage your local authority to join Real Nappies for London as we are currently signing them up for year 2 after a successful first year. We have managed to reduce local authority costs. Check out the RNfL website. The long-overdue Environment Agency Life Cycle Assessment update should be out soon.

WEN is running three nappy projects at the moment. We currently have no funding for generic real nappy campaigning, so please bear with us if you are making general enquiries -we still do endeavour to respond to all of them.

• Real Nappies for London
This is a scheme to support London parents and carers in trying real nappies. Currently in 13 boroughs, this includes a website www.realnappiesforlondon.org.uk, a helpline 020 7324 4709, an information pack and a free voucher that can be exchanged for nappies with over 60 registered suppliers and laundries across the capital. • Real Nappy Toolkit
WEN’s Real Nappy Toolkit for health professionals in London has proved so successful that, with support from Wrap’s Real Nappy Campaign, we are now able to offer it to midwives across England and Wales for parent education. • Real Nappy Exchange
This is a nationwide free brokering service to enable people to sell, donate and buy nappies they no longer need. Really best nappy practice! Available through the Real Nappies for London website as well as here.
