The
Taste of a Better Future Network - Facilitating
a national network of local growers
Since 1999, as part of the local food project, WEN has promoted
and developed a national network of food growing groups. As a
national organisation WEN has been able to develop a wide network
with the aim of offering local food growing groups an opportunity
to learn from each others’ common and different experiences
and celebrate the achievements of each group. The project has
gone from strength to strength and now supports a network of over
50 growing groups in cities such as London, Bradford, Birmingham,
Portsmouth and Sheffield. Through this work we have developed
a unique approach as a national organisation, working to empower
local food growing groups.
