We are actively working with women’s groups in Tower Hamlets. We facilitate a national network of local growers and host an on-line directory. Our projects with local women inform our advocacy work with national organisations.

Take action to curb supermarket power:
WEN is concerned that the behaviour of the biggest supermarkets is bad for women, who make up the majority of their low paid workforce both in the UK and abroad, and for the environment.

We welcome the Competition Commission's recent decisions regarding planning policy, and a Code of Practice and ombudsman for supermarkets, but feel that these proposals don't go far enough.

Please write to the Competition Commission using this letter, or adapt the text to your own concerns. WEN is a supporter of the Tescopoly alliance.
