GENDER EQUALITY, HEALTH, AND ENVIRONMENT
For over 25 years, Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) has exposed the vital links between gender equality, health and wellbeing, and environmental issues. We believe that women and men have equal roles- and should have equal input- in making the transition to a sustainable lifestyle. Through campaigning, educating and community work, we aim to empower women and others to become agents of change in their society, enabling them to participate equally in a fair, healthy and sustainable future.
Our current focus is local food production. We build community gardens and provide training in food growing and healthy eating, encouraging people to take care of their health and reclaim sovereignty over the food they eat. Check out our local food projects >
Our vision is of an environmentally sustainable world in which we have achieved real social equality.
HELP US MAKE THAT VISION A REALITY.
WEN offers tailored workshops, talks and training for schools, groups or businesses on all of our campaign topics.
Looking for information? WEN has nearly 30 years of research, reports and briefings covering gender and the environment.
Women's Environmental Network could not operate without the generosity of our members and the public. Please donate to help WEN keep working for social and environmental justice.
