WEN wants women's experience and knowledge about issues to do with their environment and occupational health to be viewed as a valid and valuable resource base from which to initiate official and statistical research. WEN wants to see local communities initiate and become active participants in research into sources of pollution affecting health in their communities. WEN wants to see further analysis of the breast cancer "clusters" identified in this project, in association with other environmental and occupational health effects linked to pollutants. WEN wants to see more support for people campaigning on health and environment issues, whether in the workplace or where they live. WEN wants to see greater recognition of networks as a means of liaising between groups, sharing information and providing support systems at both at local and national levels. WEN wants to encourage women to contribute to changing the public view of breast cancer as an out-of-control disease to seeing breast cancer as a largely preventable disease.
