Aims and objectives

Aim: To identify any breast cancer clusters which may be linked to environmental pollution throughout the UK by providing individual women and their communities with the information to create a map of their own locality.

Objective: To raise awareness, stimulate discussion and participation, generate a network of individuals, organisations and groups who are all working towards a similar goal but may not be looking at the same piece of the jigsaw.

Our long-term goal is to campaign for more focus to be put on the prevention of breast cancer and other environmentally linked health effects felt by women. Putting Breast Cancer on the Map aims to establish foundations from which future work, study and initiatives will be launched.
