Women's Manifesto on Climate Change

The undersigned individual/organisation, believes strongly that climate change is a women’s issue and wholeheartedly supports the priorities for action as stated in the manifesto:

• The UK to take a strong lead
• Equal involvement of women and men in decision-making
• Investment in renewable energy
• More environmentally friendly products
• Tougher CO2 emissions targets.

Within our own organisations, we are committed to furthering the aims of this manifesto and to considering the women’s perspective in our work on climate change.

The Women’s Manifesto has been published jointly by Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) and National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) on 15 May 2007.
