Environmental organisation dedicated to protecting the environment, promoting efficient use of natural resources and increasing African American participation in the environment movement.

California Women's Environmental Network
The primary function of the organization is to provide education and networking for professional women in the environmental field in the Bay Area, as well as to produce a regular newsletter. WEN's 1,200+ community members use each other as resources for information and learning about environmental fields, best practices, and career development. Just as the definition of the word 'environmental' is fairly broad, the WEN membership reflects a wide range of interests and professions.

The CAW is the largest private sector union in Canada. Launched a major Prevent Cancer Campaign in 1997. Camapigns fo workers to have the right to choose both economic security and a healthy environment for themselves, their families and future generations. Demand input into setting priorities, determining the degree of regulation over private industry, and deciding who pays for clean up and lifestyle changes.

The Centre for Health, Environment and Justice (CHEJ)

The Citizens Clearinghouse for Hazardous Waste (CCHW) was founded by the community activists to campaign against Love Canal. CHEJ believes in environmental justice, the principle that people have the right to a clean and healthy environment regardless of their race or economic standing. The Center believes the most effective way to win environmental justice is from the bottom up through community organising and empowerment.

The Climate Alliance
A partnership between 1,300 European cities and indigenous rainforest peoples. Member cities seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, notably from energy and transport use, abstain from
procuring tropical timber derived from destructive logging, and co-operate with the indigenous partners to conserve the rainforests. Climate for Change project looked at achieving gender balance in climate protection work.
