Women's Environmental Network (WEN) media statement
in response to ASA Ruling B02-03467/LMF

The Advertising Standards Authority has today (11/9/02) ruled on a complaint by the Absorbent Hygiene Products Manufacturers' Association (AHPMA) against an old information leaflet published by WEN's Real Nappy Project.

The leaflet complained about went out of print in March 2002 and many of the points had been updated in the new version, before the complaint was made.

We are surprised and disappointed by the ASA judgement and we will be appealing. We are concerned that the judgement may have implications for other charities and campaigning organisations.
