Funding:
Funded by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council's waste management budget.

Aims:
To reduce waste and promote the concept of the 3Rs by subsidising the use of reusable nappies.

Scheme history:
This scheme has been running since 2001 and has dealt with 130 customers thus far.

Scheme:
A free one month's laundry trial is offered to residents of Trafford Metropolitan Borough. If a resident would like to take up this free laundry trial the manager of Cotton Tails laundry service should be contacted directly and everything is organised from there.

Promotion:
A recent press release about the scheme coincided with Real Nappy Week 2004 and the 100th customer on the scheme.

Future plans:
To set up a cashback scheme for those parents/carers washing nappies at home.
